The Sale Is Already in Your CRM
A shorter take from The Onyx Operator, our newsletter for insurance agency owners and leaders.
Before you buy more leads for enrollment season, look at the people already waiting in your CRM.
Unsold quotes. Missed appointments. Someone who asked for a call when enrollment opened. These are people who have already spoken with your agency. Reaching them again does not require buying a new lead.
In our analysis of last fall's Medicare activity on Onyx, pre-booked pipeline appointments that reached a real conversation produced a policy within 30 days about 62 percent of the time during AEP, compared with 31 percent outside AEP.
Give that existing pipeline some attention before setting the next lead budget.
Build the calendar before the rush
Separate current clients who need a review from prospects who never bought. Give each list an owner and a clear next step.
Where it makes sense, have the person hear from the agent they already know. Turn a vague callback into an appointment. Then track whether those appointments reach a conversation, rather than counting bookings alone.
Once the floor is busy, this work is easy to postpone. Doing it ahead gives the team a calendar to work instead of a pile of old records to sort.
The pipeline is not free to work. It takes agent time. But the marketing cost has already been paid, and the relationship has already started.
Talk to us about turning the records you already have into a pipeline your agents actually work.
